Kenny Chesney is helping Sammy Hagar celebrate his birthday. The country superstar is on board to play a special show at Hagar's Cabo Wabo Cantina in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico Friday night. The show is part of Sammy's annual Birthday Bash, and Chesney says he's "so fired up" about the event. Sammy calls Chesney's concert "an awesome birthday present," and adds that he "can't wait to rock with Kenny and the fans." Chesney's show is one of five Birthday Bash concerts Hagar is hosting at his club this week. Sammy will bring the festivities to a close on his birthday Saturday with a performance with his band the Wabos. Hagar is turning 65.
Friday's concert will mark Kenny's second appearance at Sammy's annual Birthday Bash. He previously performed at the event in 2004, and set the record for the longest performance at Hagar's club with a show clocking in at three-hours-and-40-minutes. Chesney has also shared the stage with Hagar on tour. The Red Rocker was featured at seven stadium dates on Kenny's 2008 "Poets & Pirates" tour.
