BIG MACHINE RECORDS artist TIM MCGRAW and BLUE CHAIR RECORDS/COLUMBIA NASHVILLE artist KENNY CHESNEY, who are touring together for their “Brothers Of The Sun Tour,” made history last night (8/12) at NEW JERSEY’s METLIFE STADIUM. The pair have already sold out numerous stadiums across the country and have hit the “Million Tickets Sold” mark this summer (NET NEWS 8/3), however last night, their show took the honor of being the largest ticketed Country event in NYC and NEW JERSEY’s history.
"The excitement and buzz for this show was through the roof since the day it was announced," said Interim METLIFE STADIUM Pres. RON VANDEVEEN. "We couldn't imagine how last year's 'Goin' Coastal' show (from CHESNEY’s 2012 tour) could be topped, but this truly was the biggest country show we've ever seen."
CHESNEY told the crowd, "I want to thank you for having us back, and thank you for letting us be a part of your summer. After tonight we only have four shows left, and we're gonna take this night with us all winter."
