A JOHNSTOWN MAN HAS BEEN FOUND GUILTY ON SHOOTING RELATED CHARGES.  JAMERE CHRISTIAN WAS ACCUSED OF SHOOTING HIS GIRLFRIEND AT A HOME ON CYPRESS AVENUE IN NOVEMBER. A SENTENCING DATE HAS NOT YET BEEN SET.

A WINDMILL WORKER WAS HURT WHILE WORKING ON A MOTOR ON A TOWER IN MEYERSDALE, SOMERSET COUNTY LATE YESTERDAY AFTERNOON.  THE TOWER WAS ABOUT 260 FEET HIGH AND THE MAN WAS REPLACING A MOTOR WHEN IT SHIFTED AND PINNED HIM.  HIS FELLOW WORKERS GOT HIM FREE AND RESCUE WORKERS LOWERED THE MAN DOWN BY A CRANE AT ABOUT 5:00 YESTERDAY AFTERNOON.  NO WORD ON THE MAN’S CONDITION.

STATE POLICE IN KITTANNING ARE TRYING TO FIGURE OUT HOW A TRACTOR-TRAILER ENDED UP IN AN ARMSTRONG COUNTY LAKE.  A DIVE TEAM JOINED THE EFFORT TUESDAY TO REMOVE THE RIG FROM KEYSTONE LAKE AND SEARCH FOR POSSIBLE VICTIMS.  THE TRACTOR-TRAILER HAD BEEN UNDERWATER SINCE MONDAY.

SOME LOCAL PARENTS SAY THEIR KIDS RETURNED FROM A PENN STATE FIELD TRIP WITH BED BUG BITES ALL OVER THEIR BODIES.  THE STUDENTS FROM WESTMORELAND AND FAYETTE COUNTIES STAYED AT THE CURTAIN HALL DORM SUNDAY THROUGH YESTERDAY.  A PENNSYLVANIA JUNIOR ACADEMY OF SCIENCE STATE MEET WAS HELD ON CAMPUS.

A BIG MESS HAS BEEN CLEARED UP NEAR SOUTH FORK, CAMBRIA COUNTY, AFTER A COAL TRUCK AND 2 CARS COLLIDED, SHUTTING DOWN ROUTE 219 FOR HOURS.  IT HAPPENED YESTERDAY.  ONE PERSON WAS TAKEN TO MEMORIAL MEDICAL TO BE CHECKED OUT, BUT THEY WERE NOT SERIOUSLY HURT.

AN ALTOONA MAN HAS DIED FOLLOWING A WEEKEND CRASH.  37 YEAR OLD CHRISTOPHER LION OF ALTOONA WAS FLOWN TO ALTOONA REGIONAL TRAUMA CENTER EARLY SUNDAY MORNING AFTER HIS SPEEDING CAR SWERVED OUT OF CONTROL ALONG ROUTE 40-27 IN SNYDER TOWNSHIP, BLAIR COUNTY.   STATE POLICE SAY LION WAS NOT WEARING A SEATBELT. HE STRUCK A PARKED CAR IN A PARKING LOT, PUSHING IT INTO A CONCRETE LIGHT POLE.

CLEARFIELD COUNTY DISTRICT ATTORNEY WILLIAM SHAW SAYS STATE POLICE AND SANDY TOWNSHIP OFFICERS FOUND EVIDENCE OF A METH LAB AT A RESIDENCE ON SOUTH MAIN STREET IN DUBOIS.   53 YEAR OLD STEVEN SUNEALITIS IS NOW IN THE COUNTY JAIL ON A STATE PAROLE DETAINER. HE PREVIOUSLY DID JAIL TIME FOR MANUFACTURING METH.

A MAN WORKING ON A WIND TURBINE IN MEYERSDALE, SOMERSET COUNTY, WAS FLOWN TO A MARYLAND HOSPITAL YESTERDAY AFTER HE WAS CRUSHED BY A VERY LARGE GEAR.  THE MAN WAS REPLACING THE MOTOR ON ONE OF THE TURBINES 250 FEET FROM THE GROUND WHEN THE MOTOR SOMEHOW SHIFTED, PINNING HIM.  WORKERS WERE ABLE TO FREE THE INJURED MAN BEFORE FIREFIGHTERS ARRIVED.
