THE SEARCH IS CONTINUING FOR THE MAN WHO ROBBED THE FIRST NATIONAL BANK ON WALNUT STREET IN JOHNSTOWN EARLY YESTERDAY AFTERNOON.  A MAN WALKED INTO THE BANK, SHOWED A GUN AND TOLD THE TELLER SHE HAD TEN SECONDS TO HAND OVER CASH.  HE THEN FLED THE SCENE.  POLICE FOUND ROBBER’S GETAWAY VEHICLE … A  TRUCK THAT WAS STOLEN EARLIER IN THE CITY’S WEST END.  THE SUSPECT IS DESCRIBED AS A BLACK, THIN MALE WHO WAS WEARING A BLACK HOODIE.   THE FBI IS ASSISTING WITH THE INVESTIGATION.

EARLIER THIS MONTH, 13 VALUABLE SNAKES WERE STOLEN FROM THE JULIAN HOME OF CHRISTOPHER ROBINSON, A LICENSED REPTILE DEALER…NOW POLICE SAY NATHAN FLICK TRIED TO SELL 5 OF THE PYTHONS LAST WEEKEND AT A REPTILE EXPO IN HAMBURG PENNSYLVANIA.   HE WAS HOPING TO GET OVER 7-THOUSAND DOLLARS.   FLICK IS CHARGED WITH RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY.  A TOTAL OF 13 BALL MORPH PYTHONS WERE TAKEN…8 OF THEM PREGNANT FEMALES. NO WORD WHAT HAPPENED TO THE REST.

5 TEENAGERS GOT CAUGHT MONDAY SETTING A FIRE INSIDE THE FORMER DUNLO LLANFAIR PUBLIC SCHOOL IN CAMBRIA COUNTY.  THE BOYS, AGES 14 AND 15, ENTERED THE ABANDONED BUILDING AROUND 8:15PM.  WHEN POLICE ARRIVED, ONE OF THEM RAN AND THE OTHER 4 WERE CAUGHT. THE 5TH BOY WAS LATER APPREHENDED. THE SCHOOL WAS BUILT IN 1916 AND CLOSED AROUND 1976.

JOHNSTOWN POLICE ARE LOOKING FOR THE MAN WHO STOLE A TRUCK AND ROBBED FIRST NATIONAL BANK DOWNTOWN AT GUN POINT TUESDAY AFTERNOON.  THE VEHICLE…A 1980'S BROWN PICKUP TRUCK WAS RECOVERED IN THE CITY'S PROSPECT NEIGHBORHOOD SOON AFTER THE HOLD-UP.  THE SUSPECT IS DESCRIBED AS A BLACK MALE WITH A THIN BUILD. HE WAS WEARING A BLACK HOODIE.   ANYONE WITH INFORMATION SHOULD CALL POLICE AT 1-800-281-16-80.

A BEDFORD COUNTY JURY HAS BEEN SEATED FOR THE INVOLUNTARY MANSLAUGHTER TRIAL OF 52 YEAR OLD RANDY FOOR OF BEDFORD.  HE ORIGINALLY PLEADED GUILTY TO SHOVING HIS FRIEND, 49 YEAR OLD DENNIS SPRIGG OF MANNS CHOICE, DURING AN AUGUST PARTY WHEN BOTH HAD BEEN DRINKING HEAVILY.  SPRIGG FELL AND HIT HIS HEAD ON THE SIDEWALK. HE DIED 7 WEEKS LATER.  THE JUDGE ALLOWED FOOR TO WITHDRAW HIS PLEA AND TESTIMONY IS SET TO BEGIN NEXT WEDNESDAY.  THE DEFENSE COULD TRY TO CONVINCE THE JURY IT WAS A CASE OF SELF-DEFENSE.
