THE CENTRAL CAMBRIA SCHOOL BOARD VOTED LAST NIGHT TO SELL THE 84 YEAR OLD MIDDLE SCHOOL BUILDING IN EBENSBURG.  THE BUILDING HASN’T BEEN USED FOR ABOUT TWO YEARS.  NOW IT’S LISTED FOR SALE FOR 560-THOUSAND DOLLARS.  THERE’S NO WORD YET IF THERE ARE ANY POSSIBLE BUYERS.

SOUTH FORK BOROUGH IS HOPING TO ADD TO ITS POLICE FORCE.  IT HAS ONE FULL TIME OFFICER AND WANTS TO ADD TWO MORE PART TIME OFFICERS.  THE BOROUGH WILL ALSO ADD SIX CADETS TO HELP PROVIDE 24 HOUR SECURITY TO THE BOROUGH’S UPCOMING ANNUAL HERITAGE DAYS.

IN FAYETTE COUNTY … STATE POLICE THINK ALCOHOL MAY HAVE BEEN INVOLVED IN THE ONE-VEHICLE CRASH THAT LEFT A LOCAL PENN STATE STUDENT DEAD.  NINETEEN-YEAR-OLD CATHERINE HEALY WAS KILLED SUNDAY MORNING WHEN THE TRUCK SHE WAS RIDING IN CRASHED IN DUNBAR TOWNSHIP.  INVESTIGATORS ARE AWAITING THE RESULTS OF TOXICOLOGY TESTS ON THE DRIVER, 18-YEAR-OLD ETHAN KENNEY, WHO HAS ALREADY BEEN CITED FOR SPEEDING.  HEALY WAS A 2011 GRADUATE OF CONNELLSVILLE AREA HIGH SCHOOL AND ATTENDED P-S-U'S BEHREND CAMPUS IN ERIE.

IN CLEARFIELD COUNTY … WILLIAM DEVANEY, JR., HAS PLEAD GUILTY TO ARSON AND OTHER CHARGES AFTER AUTHORITIES SAY HE SET FIRE TO A HOUSE IN LAWRENCE TOWNSHIP.  IN ADDITION TO PRISON TIME, HE WAS ALSO ORDERED TO PAY 36-THOUSAND IN RESTITUTION.

IN ARMSTRONG COUNTY …THE SEARCH IS CONTINUING FOR A MISSING MAN.  FAMILY AND FRIENDS OF ALBERT COPPER THE THIRD SAY HE HAS NOT BEEN SEEN … SINCE HE LEFT FOR WORK EARLY IN THE MORNING LAST THURSDAY.  THE 28-YEAR-OLD NEVER MADE IT TO WORK AND HIS CAR WAS FOUND LESS THAN A MILE FROM HIS HOME.

YOU CAN NOW BUY MILK THAT'S LABELED "PA PREFERRED."  THE DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE APPLIED THE LABEL TO GIANT FOOD STORE BRAND MILK YESTERDAY.  THE LABEL MEANS THE MILK WAS PRODUCED AND PROCESSED IN PENNSYLVANIA.
