A MAN WHO IS A SUSPECT IN A SHOOTING IN JOHNSTOWN LAST WEEK …  HAS TURNED HIMSELF INTO POLICE.  ONE MAN IS STILL WANTED.  CHARLES MYER FACES BURGLARY AND OTHER CHARGES AFTER THE INCIDENT SATURDAY NIGHT AT A HOME ALONG HIGHLAND AVENUE IN MOXHAM.  POLICE SAY MYERS AND TWO OTHER MEN HAD SHIPPED A PACKAGE OF DRUGS TO A HOME THEY THOUGHT WAS ABANDONED … AND THEY WENT TO THE HOME AND ENDED UP CONFRONTING THE HOMEOWNERS.  THE HOMEOWNERS HAD ALREADY GIVEN THE DRUGS TO POLICE.   IT’S STILL UNCLEAR EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED, BUT ONE SHOT WAS FIRED, HITTING ONE MAN IN THE HEAD AND ANOTHER IN THE KNEE.  THE THIRD SUSPECT POLICE ARE LOOKING FOR HAS BEEN IDENTIFIED AS JASON MAINES.

FORMER PENNSYLVANIA DEPUTY ATTORNEY GENERAL JAMES REEDER WILL BE LOOKING INTO THE GRAND JURY THAT INDICTED JERRY SANDUSKY AND SEVERAL OTHER PENN STATE UNIVERSITY OFFICIALS IN A CHILD SEX ABUSE SCANDAL.  SANDUSKY IS SERVING DECADES BEHIND BARS FOR RAPING TEN YOUNG BOYS HE MET THROUGH HIS AT-RISK YOUTH CHARITY.  REEDER WILL INVESTIGATE WHETHER OR NOT SECRECY RULES WERE VIOLATED BY THE GRAND JURY.  HE HAS SIX MONTHS TO LOOK INTO THE POSSIBILITY THAT ANYONE DISCLOSED GRAND JURY INFORMATION ILLEGALLY.

IN WESTMORELAND COUNTY … THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF LABOR'S OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH ADMINISTRATION IS CITING A FUEL COMPANY FOR 18 SAFETY VIOLATIONS.  IT FOLLOWS THE DEATH OF AN EMPLOYEE.  MECHANIC ROBERT BUSKEY JR. WAS WORKING ON A PAVEMENT ROLLER LAST AUGUST WHEN THE ROLLER'S ENGINE STARTED UNEXPECTEDLY AND DROVE OVER HIM.  EXPORT FUEL HAS 15 BUSINESS DAYS TO COMPLY, REQUEST AN INFORMAL CONFERENCE WITH OSHA OR CONTEST THE CITATIONS.

MOUNT ALOYSIUS STUDENT ANTHONY BRISCOE OF INDIANA COUNTY SAYS HE WAS ONLY JOKING, BUT THE ALTOONA MIRROR REPORTS THAT THE 19 YEAR OLD HAS BEEN SUSPENDED FOR A TWITTER MESSAGE WRITTEN EARLIER THIS MONTH.   BRISCOE ALLEGEDLY THREATENED TO SLIT THE THROAT OF A PROFESSOR IN FRONT OF HER CLASS AND HE’S CHARGED WITH TERRORISTIC THREATS, HARASSMENT, AND DISORDERLY CONDUCT.  A PRELIMINARY HEARING IS SET FOR APRIL 11TH.   POLICE DID NOT FIND ANY WEAPONS WHEN THEY SEARCHED BRISCOE’S DORM ROOM.

POLICE IN CONEMAUGH (“KAHN-NA-MA”) TOWNSHIP, SOMERSET COUNTY, SAY 55 YEAR OLD RONALD WEBB JUNIOR AND 40 YEAR OLD JAMIE BLOUGH MADE FRIENDS WITH 95-YEAR-OLD JOSEPH BELLE OF HOLLSOPPLE…THEN STOLE MONEY AND JEWELRY VALUED AT MORE THAN 25-THOUSAND DOLLARS.   BLOUGH IS ALSO FACING UNRELATED CHARGES AND IS IN THE STATE PRISON AT CRESSON.   WEBB, ALSO CHARGED WITH OTHER CRIMES, IS IN PROGRESS COMMUNITY CORRECTION CENTER IN WAYNESBURG.
