POLICE SAY THE OWNERS AND SOME CUSTOMERS STOPPED TWO ARMED ROBBERS AT A CHINESE RESTAURANT IN INDIANA COUNTY.  TWO MEN …IDENTIFIED AS JEREMIAH  FROMM  AND ADAM WILSON WALKED INTO THE KING BUFFET ON OAKLAND AVENUE SUNDAY MORNING AND ONE HANDED THE CLERK A NOTE DEMANDING MONEY.  THE CASH WAS TURNED OVER … BUT THEN THE OWNERS AND SOME OF THE CUSTOMERS DESCENDED ON THE MEN AND HELD THEM UNTIL POLICE ARRIVED. BOTH CONFESSED AND WERE TAKEN TO JAIL.

POLICE IN NORTH CAROLINA HAVE ONE MAN IN CUSTODY AND ARE LOOKING FOR TWO ADDITIONAL SUSPECTS IN CONNECTION WITH THE MURDER OF A NATIONAL GUARDSMAN FROM FAYETTE COUNTY.  DANNY RAY MCFADDEN OF UNIONTOWN WAS STATIONED AT FORT BRAGG.  THE 28-YEAR-OLD WAS AMONG 15-PEOPLE ROBBED BY THREE ARMED SUSPECTS.

PROCEEDS FROM A SPAGHETTI DINNER WILL BENEFIT THE SON OF THE SETON HILL UNIVERSITY LACROSSE COACH THAT WAS KILLED LAST MONTH IN A BUS ACCIDENT.  THE SETON HILL COMMUNITY HELD LAST NIGHT'S FUNDRAISER TO HONOR THE VICTIMS AND TO RAISE MONEY.  KRISTINA QUIGLEY, HER UNBORN BABY AND THE BUS DRIVER WERE KILLED WHEN THE BUS CARRYING THE LACROSSE TEAM LEFT THE TURNPIKE AND SLAMMED INTO A TREE IN CUMBERLAND COUNTY.

STATE POLICE IN HUNTINGDON COUNTY ARRESTED 35 YEAR OLD LEONARD ELLIS OF MOUNT UNION SUNDAY AFTER HE ALLEGEDLY STOLE A TRUCK TRACTOR FROM BURCHIFLED TRUCK SALES IN DUNCANSVILLE, BLAIR COUNTY, THEN LED POLICE ON A 35 MILE CHASE.  TROOPERS EVENTUALLY USED STOP STICKS TO STOP ELLIS ALONG PINEY RIDGE ROAD IN SMITHFIELD TOWNSHIP.HE’S JAILED ON 100-THOUSAND DOLLARS BAIL, FACING CHARGES INCLUDING RECKLESS ENDANGERMENT, RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY, AND FLEEING AND ELUDING AUTHORITIES.

52 YEAR OLD STEPHEN REX EDMISON WAS SENTENCED TO DEATH FOR THE 1988 KIDNAPPING, RAPE, AND MURDER OF 2 YEAR OLD BOBBI JO MATTHEW IN CLEARFIELD COUNTY…NOW THE ALTOONA MIRROR REPORTS THAT THE STATE SUPREME COURT HAS REJECTED HIS REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL D-N-A TESTING.THE JUDGES SUGGESTED THAT EDMISTON’S LATEST PETITION WAS ONLY AN ATTEMPT TO DELAY HIS EXECUTION.  NO WORD IF HIS LAWYER WILL TRY ANOTHER APPEAL.-0-
