IN BLAIR COUNTY … AN INVESTIGATION IS UNDERWAY INTO THE DEATH OF A NEWBORN BABY.  THE CHILD WAS FOUND AT AN APARTMENT ON GRACE ROAD IN BELLMEAD, ANTIS TOWNSHIP.  AN AUTOPSY WILL BE PEFORMED.   THE CHILD WAS JUST A FEW DAYS OLD.   NO OTHER DETAILS ARE YET AVAILABLE.

AN INVESTIGATION IS UNDERWAY INTO THE BODY OF A MAN FOUND IN CLEARFIELD COUNTY.  THE VICTIM WAS IDENTIFIED AS 40 YEAR OLD RONALD FORD, JR. OF SAN DIEGO.  HE WAS LAST SEEN AT A FRIEND’S HOUSE IN MORRISDALE IN FEBRUARY. THAT’S ABOUT 13 MILES FROM WHERE THE BODY WAS FOUND.  IT IS CONSIDERED A HOMICIDE.  ANYONE WHO HAS ANY INFORMATION IS URGED TO CALL POLICE.

A CBS TV STATION IN CALIFORNIA IS REPORTING THAT THE FORMER DRUMMER FOR THE LEGENDARY ROCK BAND JEFFERSON AIRPLANE HAS DIED IN A CAR CRASH.  67 YEAR OLD JOEY COVINGTON IS A 1963 GRADUATE OF THE FORMER CONEMAUGH HIGH SCHOOL.  HIS VEHICLE HIT A RETAINING WALL WHILE ON A HIGHWAY NEAR PALM SPRINGS. HE MAY HAVE HAD A MEDICAL EMERGENCY PRIOR TO THE CRASH.

CLEARFIELD COUNTY AUTHORITIES HAVE RELEASED MORE DETAILS ABOUT THE BODY FOUND NEAR ROLLING STONE ROAD IN FRENCHVILLE LATE MONDAY NIGHT.  DISTRICT ATTORNEY WILLIAM SHAW SAYS POLICE BELIEVE IT IS 40 YEAR OLD RONALD BRUCE FORD JUNIOR OF SAN DIEGO AND HE’S CALLING THIS A HOMICIDE INVESTIGATION.   FORD’S FAMILY REPORTED HIM MISSING IN FEBRUARY AND TOLD POLICE HE WAS STAYING WITH FRIENDS IN THIS AREA. ANYONE WITH INFORMATION IS ASKED TO CALL POLICE.

A GUARD AT THE SOMERSET COUNTY PRISON IS ACCUSED OF FONDLING FEMALE SUBORDINATES. BORO POLICE FILED CRIMINAL CHARGES AGAINST 44 YEAR OLD RONALD LENSBOUER OF FREIDENS.    THE CRIMES ALLEGEDLY OCCURRED OVER A 2 YEAR PERIOD.

DUNCANSVILLE FIRE CREWS SAY LAST NIGHT’S STORM KNOCKED DOWN POWER LINES AND LED TO A FIRE AT THE HOME OF 83 YEAR OLD JOYCE BRENNEMAN AND HER DAUGHTER ON VINEYARD LANE. THE FAMILY SAYS ELECTRICITY COURSED THROUGH THE HOUSE FOR ABOUT 45 MINUTES UNTIL PENELEC CREWS ARRIVED. FIREMEN USED TARPS TO MINIMIZE WATER DAMAGE AND NO ONE WAS INJURED.
