iPads: too kid friendly?

About a month ago, I warned about the hidden costs of some free apps for your phone or tablet.  Well, here comes another warning!

A five-year-old boy recenly racked up a $2500 iTunes bill in 15 minutes!  Danny Kitchen's father gave him the password to his iTunes account so the child could download a free app.  But while the app itself was free, the various in-app options included in the game were not.  In just a few minutes, Danny had inadvertently charged more than TWO GRAND to his dad's iTunes account!  Apple is going to refund the money, but not all families will be so lucky.  The incident raises more questions about parental controls on tech devices and misleading apps.  My recommendation?  Today might be a good day to double check your settings and change your password!
