Instead of getting "2013" or "graduation" plates, cups and plasticware, buy those things in school colors. Then you might be able to splurge on a few special decorations with the school's name.. Plus, you'll have pretty paper plates in your cupboard afterward instead of "leftover, outdated" ones.
Try planning a combined party for a group of friends. If your kids share a circle of friends, planning one party for all of them might be better than planning 3 parties that compete with each other. Plus, parents can feed the whole crowd once and split the cost!
