“The Walking Dead” will return for a fourth season, AMC announced. In addition, AMC will partner with the American Red Cross for a special promotion for the series. The promotion will be called The American Red Cross Zombie Blood drive and it starts this week and runs through October 22nd. For the campaign, there will be special “zombie-fied” celebrity photos that will run during the show in the form of custom Public Zombie Announcements or PZA’s. The PZA’s will encourage viewers to give blood to the Red Cross which would be helpful in the event of a natural disaster or say a zombie apocalypse. AMC is also putting together a sweepstakes for those who support donating blood to the Red Cross. The grand prize winner will get a set visit to “The Walking Dead” in Atlanta, Georgia.
