According to a study, Facebook may actually make you feel bad about yourself.  Research found that looking at other people’s photos can trigger feelings of jealousy, causing one in three people to feel worse after viewing their friends’ profiles and nearly 40% say the site makes them feel “frustrated.”  Posts that feature vacation photos, birthday greetings and boasts about users’ work and social lives are most likely to cause envy in others.  If you spend a lot of time browsing Facebook and similar sites, this effect could put you at risk of social isolation and even depression.
