Supporters of the “cleansing reduction” movement think people should only shower once a week! Experts say bathing less often can help you retain healthy germs that fight disease and strengthen the immune system. It may also benefit hair and skin. Crazy- and gross- as it sounds, it seems the trend is already catching on. In a survey, 40% of men and more than 30% of women admit they don’t shower every day. And about 40% of people say they sometimes use deodorant instead of bathing. Still, regular hand-washing is highly recommended, especially if you’re skipping showers (or, you know…touching someone who does).
