So much for fairy tale romance.  The majority of people have settled for something other than true love, with 73% admitting they simply “make do” with their current partner.  One in seven adults is in a long-term relationship with someone other than the love of their life, and 17% say they were already in a relationship with someone else when they finally met their true love.  Close to half haven’t given up on love just yet, and say they’d be willing to leave their current partner to be with the love of their life.  Considering the average person falls head over heels just twice in their life, it’s no wonder they’d go to great lengths for love.  Unfortunately, the average person has also been heartbroken at least once.
