MOST WORKERS STRESSED OUT
American workers are ‘fessing up to stress. More than 80% say they’re currently stressed out by at least one thing at work, compared to 73% last year. That’s a significant increase, especially during a supposed economic recovery. Experts say that despite the economic upswing and job market improvement, many workers are worn out from increased hours, budget cuts and layoffs. In fact, low pay and unreasonable workloads were tied for the title of most stressful, followed by annoying coworkers, jobs outside of desired careers, poor work-life balance, lack of opportunity to advance and fear of being fired. Less than 20% of people said they aren’t stressed out at all by their jobs.
