A shocking new study of more than 1,000 people found almost half of American adults believe at least one health-related conspiracy theory- and nearly 20% believe at least three. Overall, experts say the survey revealed Americans don’t have a lot of trust in big business or the government when it comes to health matters. The poll’s findings include… -37% of people think the FDA is keeping natural cures for cancer and other diseases away from the public due to pressure from drug companies. -20% of people believe cell phones do in fact cause cancer, but health officials are hiding the evidence. -20% of people believe doctors know vaccines cause autism and other issues but encourage them anyway. Research also shows people who believe in multiple health-related conspiracy theories are more likely to use herbal remedies and eat organic food, while avoiding sunscreen, flu shots and doctor check-ups.
