Casey James shaved his beard onstage last week for a good cause. Casey and his band members had been participating in the No Shave November challenge to raise money for St Jude Children’s Research Hospital. As of Friday, their team had raised $10,443 for the cause. However, on November 30th, the former “American Idol” got a call from a big wig he works with saying they would make a considerable donation – if he took it all off onstage. “For the record, this is the weirdest thing I’ve ever done in my life,” Casey told the crowd in Shreveport as he took an electric razor to his face. Overall, the No Shave November initiative raised more than $100,000 for the families of St. Jude. Up until the final day, Team Casey James had led the team category consistently. But Team Thompson Square pulled ahead, raising $22,611. Team Casey James finished in second place at $13,528 and The Warner Whiskers placed third with $9,680.
