Is it lights out for Black Friday? According to retail analysts, with holiday sales starting increasingly earlier and the ever-growing popularity and convenience of online shopping, the trend may be falling out of fashion. This year, J.C. Penney, Kmart, Toys R Us, Kohl’s, Target, Sears and Macy’s will all be open on Thanksgiving Day. And a number of online retailers are kicking off their holiday deals ahead of schedule. In fact, a survey found more Americans plan to take advantage of Cyber Monday than Black Friday this shopping season. Experts say retailers are bumping up their holiday sales in order to stay competitive and to catch consumers before their budgets run out.
