EASTWOOD AND WIFE SEPARATE
Clint Eastwood and wife Dina Eastwood have separated after nearly 17 years of marriage. Dina confirmed the news to Us Weekly, telling the mag that while they are still close, they’ve been living apart for some time. A source says the pair actually split up in June, 2012. KYLIE JENNER GETS IN CAR ACCIDENT
Kylie Jenner hasn’t been driving a month and already she’s got her first car crash under her belt. TMZ reports that the 16-year-old was behind the wheel of her new $125K Mercedes SUV Wednesday when she slammed into the back of a Toyota, which then crashed into a Subaru SUV. The rear of the Toyota suffered major damage, and the Subaru also had some damage to its bumper. According to witnesses, Kylie immediately got out of her car, apologized and then exchanged information with the other drivers. No one suffered any serious injuries.
IDOL JUDGE SEARCH MAY DELAY PRODUCTION
Cross one more name off the American Idol short list. Sources tell TMZ Justin Bieber’s manager Scooter Braun will not take the third judge’s spot. “The only reason to do it at this point is vanity and he doesn't do things for vanity,” said a source. “Without the right to manage the acts, it makes no business sense for him and ultimately he's a business guy." The search for that third judge has become a big problem for the Fox show. The program is set to begin taping Tuesday, but without a third star, production could be delayed. Music producer Dr. Luke was close to a deal last week, but that reportedly fell apart when he realized the show would demand too much of his time.
HARPER’S HAPPY NEWS
Barely a day after rumors leaked that Valerie Harper would be joining Dancing with the Stars comes more good news – she’s getting better. The actress announced in March she had been diagnosed with a rare form of brain cancer and had been given three to six months to live. On the Today show Thursday, cameras were with the 74-year-old and her husband Tony Cacciotti when she went to the doctor for the results of her latest MRI. “I’d say that we’re getting pretty close to remission,” her neuro-oncologist Jeremy Rudnick said. “It defies the odds.” Harper did stress that there is “no cure” for her type of cancer, and eventually it will become resistant to treatment. “Going from having three months to live, or less; we're into our sixth month, and now there's even hope beyond that,” said Cacciotti. “Right now we're looking at ..." "We're looking at Christmas!" said Harper. Cacciotti added, “This is overwhelming." A documentary on Harper’s journey will air September 19th on NBC.
SIMPSON GETS $100K FOR BABY PICS
There’s a very good reason Jessica Simpson is smiling on the cover of the latest issue of Us Weekly. Not only is she showing off her two beautiful kids, 15-month-old Maxwell and 2-month-old Ace, but she got paid a lot of money to do so. According to the New York Post, Simpson and fiancé Eric Johnson were paid as much as $100,000 for the photo.
VICKI & BROOKS STILL DATING
The Real Housewives of Orange County reunion show contained lots of drama, including Brooks Ayers dumping Housewives star Vicki Gunvalson. But it sounds like all that drama was staged, because sources say the couple hasn’t really broken up at all. The reunion show was taped long before its airing Monday, and on Sunday, Gunvalson’s ex-castmate Jeana Keough tweeted, “@vgunvalson Had a great time with you and Brooks last night, and your grandson is so cute….,” basically outing the couple. “Vicki is still with Brooks, she just can’t quit him,” said an insider. “It’s sort of complicated, but despite everything out there proving what a monster he can be, she still doesn’t believe anything bad about him.” Adds another source, “They are the most dysfunctional couple you could ever imagine.”
GARNER DISCUSSES THE FAILURE OF HER FIRST MARRIAGE
Jennifer Garner opens up to Allure magazine about the breakdown of her first marriage to Scandal’s Scott Foley. "Oh, he's a great guy," the 41-year-old, who is now married to Ben Affleck, told the magazine. "We were full-on grown-ups, but looking back I'm aware we did not know what hit us." The couple got married in October, 2000 and separated in March of 2003. "We didn't have a shot," Garner said. "He's a really good guy, and we just imploded."
WOODLEY’S NON-HOLLYWOOD LIFE
Divergent’s Shailene Woodley is not your typical Hollywood star. In fact, she’s pretty out there. “I think everything about my lifestyle is fairly alternative,” she tells Flaunt magazine. “I gather my own spring water from mountains every month. I go to a farm to get my food. I make everything from my own toothpaste to my own body lotions and face oils.” She adds, “I could go on for hours. I make my own medicines; I don’t get those from doctors. I make my own cheese and forage wild foods and identify wild plants. It’s an entire lifestyle. It’s appealing to my soul.”
SPENCER SUES OVER WEIGHT LOSS DEAL
Oscar winner Octavia Spencer is suing the makers of the weight loss product Sensa claiming they are trying to get out of paying her for an endorsement deal. The actress had a number of conditions before she agreed to endorse the product. She didn’t want ads placed in gossip mags, she didn’t want the campaign to use before-and-after pictures, and she didn’t want the campaign to focus on significant weight loss. Spencer was to be paid over $1.2 million in installments, plus a $10,000 charitable donation. She says she fulfilled her agreement by meeting weigh-in requirements, but the company wanted more and started breaching her restrictions, attempting to place an ad in a tabloid using a before-and-after picture. They then stopped her agreed-on monthly payments, and never made the promised charitable donation. The company is arguing Spencer breached her contract, so they don’t have to pay. Spencer is seeking unspecified damages, plus interest and court costs.
CAINE DENIES SAYING CONNERY HAS ALZHEIMER’S
Michael Caine is denying a German magazine’s claim that he said his longtime friend Sean Connery was suffering from Alzheimer’s. “It’s completely preposterous, bulls**t,” Caine told the Daily Record. “This stuff about Alzheimer’s is just nonsense.” Caine says he did do some interviews in Germany, but insists he never said anything about the former James Bond star being ill. “I can only assume that someone has twisted my words or got the wrong end of the stick” he said. “I haven’t seen Sean for a couple of years, but my wife and I spoke to him on the phone on his birthday this week and he was very well. He was fine, in complete control of his senses and his usual self. I have no idea where they are getting that stuff from.”

FORMER BACHELORETTE STAR PREGNANT
Former Bachelorette DeAnna Pappas is pregnant. The 31-year-old and husband Stephen Stagliano are expecting their first child next February. DeAnna first caught the public’s eye when she was rejected by Bachelor Brad Womack. She then went on the Bachelorette and became engaged to professional snowboarder Jesse Csincsak, only to see that relationship end as well. She married Stagliano in October, 2011.
ABRAHAM DAYS RUMOR DENIED
Reports Thursday claimed Farrah Abraham had found yet another way to extend her 15 minutes of fame. According to Radaronline, the Teen Mom-turned-porn star had landed a role on the NBC soap opera Days of Our Lives. The 22-year-old sent producers a homemade audition tape, hoping to land a leading role, but instead she was allegedly offered the part of a hooker named Destiny. But it turns out Abraham won’t be crashing daytime TV just yet. A rep for the show told the website toofab, "This is not true."
