KIM TO REVEAL POST-BABY BODY ON KRIS
Apparently there’s a very good, and PR-related, reason we haven’t seen Kim Kardashian since the birth of her daughter Nori on June 15th. According to Us Weekly, the reality show star is staying out of the spotlight so she can debut her post-baby body on her mom Kris Jenner’s daytime talk show. "She wants to show up like Heidi Klum and have everyone marvel at how fast she lost the weight," a source tells Us. Insiders say Kim has already lost about 20 pounds, but has another 30 to go. Said the source, “She won't leave the house until she's thinner.”
NO MORE REALITY SHOWS FOR LAMAR
Lamar Odom is ready to take a cue from Kim Kardashian’s man Kanye West and step away from the family’s reality show world. Lamar has appeared on most of the Kardashian E!, shows, and even had his own with wife Khloe, but now he wants out. “Lamar gets teased all of the time by his basketball buddies for appearing on the Kardashian reality shows. It’s a waste of his time, and does nothing to help his brand,” an insider told Radaronline. “If anything, it just exposes him to ridicule and scorn.”
Star Trek’s Zachary Quinto is a single man again. Us Weekly reports the actor has split from boyfriend Jonathan Groff (Glee) after 10 months of dating. Apparently distance became an issue in their relationship. "Zach being away and filming was not easy on them," said an insider. "Now he's going to be in New York with his new play [The Glass Menagerie]. They really loved each other, so it wasn't an easy split." And while Perez Hilton claimed the romance did “not end well,” Us says the breakup was amicable. “It just ran its course," says the source. "Zach has been out and about and he seems fine."
LAWRENCE BACK WITH EX
Jennifer Lawrence has reportedly reunited with boyfriend Nicholas Hoult. The pair split in January after two years of dating, but rekindled their romance once they started filming the X-Men sequel, X-Men: Days of Future Past. "They started the shoot in April as friends, and then one day they just started kissing," says the source. "One thing led to another and they hooked up. All her old feelings came rushing back. Now they're fully back on."
REMINI THOUGHT CRUISE’S RELATIONSHIP WITH SCIENTOLOGY LEADER WAS WEIRD
The sister of actress Leah Remini says the actress started losing faith in Scientology after she was criticized for questioning leader David Miscavige’s “weird” relationship with Tom Cruise. Leah’s sister Nicole, a former Scientologist, told a radio station earlier this week that Leah’s disillusionment started at Cruise’s 2006 wedding to Katie Holmes, after Leah witnessed “inappropriate” behavior between the two men. Shockingly, it was one of Leah’s close friends who turned her in to Scientology higher- ups. Explained Nicole, “somebody actually wrote a report on her - her best friend wrote a report on her that she questioned it. Well then Leah got pulled in, it’s like how dare she question what is going on with Tom and his relationship with people within the church.”
WILDE CAUSED SUDEIKIS’ WEIGHT LOSS
Jason Sudeikis has shed a few pounds recently, and he gives all the credit to his fiancée Olivia Wilde. “The truth is, I’m not getting up an hour earlier and walking on a treadmill. I have the greatest workout partner in the world,” he tells Elle. “And you don’t need a gym membership for that kind of workout.” He adds, “I think it’s all a manifestation of being happy and wanting to treat myself well.”
ABRAHAM DOESN’T KNOW WHO TRAYVON MARTIN IS
Farrah Abraham is apparently living under a rock. The Backdoor Teen Mom star was asked how she felt about Trayvon Martin, and she didn’t even know who he was. “I feel like I’ve met her or something,” she said. “It sounds so familiar…I don’t know what she is so I can’t picture the person with the name right now.”
EMMY NOMINATIONS WRAP UP
Nominees for the 65th Primetime Emmy Awards were announced yesterday, with American Horror Story: Asylum leading the pack with 17 nods, including Best Mini-series. Game of Thrones was next with 16 nominations, including Best Drama, where it will compete with Homeland, Mad Men, Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones and House of Cards. Netflix’s House of Cards received nine nominations, marking the first time an Internet streaming service will compete in the top category. On the comedy side, 30 Rock received 13 nods for its final season, followed by Modern Family, which received 12. Another big nominee-getter was Behind the Candelabra, which received 15, including Best Actor nods for both Matt Damon and Michael Douglas. Among the notable snubs: AMC’s hit The Walking Dead got absolutely nothing; Two-time Best Supporting Actor winner Eric Stonestreet was left out, while all the other Modern Family males were recognized; Monica Potter, who seemed a shoe-in for her cancer storyline on Parenthood, was overlooked; Julianna Margulies, who has been nominated for The Good Wife three times, got nothing; Orphan Black’s Tatiana Maslany missed out in the Best Actress category and HBO’s critically-acclaimed Boardwalk Empire didn’t get a Best Drama nod. The 65th Primetime Emmy Awards, hosted by Neil Patrick Harris, airs September 22nd on CBS.
7-ELEVEN BANS ROLLING STONE
7-Eleven is the latest company to ban the new issue of Rolling Stone featuring the Boston Marathon bomber on the cover. According to TMZ, the convenience store yanked the mag from nearly 1,700 company-operated stores and plans to urge franchise owners to pull the issue as well. On Wednesday, CVS, Walgreens and Stop & Shop all pulled the issue.
LAW FIRM ACCEPTS RESPONSIBILITY FOR ROWLING LEAK
A British law firm has admitted they were inadvertently responsible for revealing that J.K. Rowling was the author of The Cuckoo’s Calling. The Sunday Times said they started investigating whether Robert Galbraith was a pseudonym for Rowling after getting a tip on Twitter, leading some to believe that Rowling herself, or her publisher, did it to boost sales. But the law firm Russells admitted Thursday that one of its partners, Chris Gossage, mistakenly revealed the information to his wife’s best friend, and she was the one who tipped off the Times. The firm explained that, “the disclosure was made in confidence to someone he trusted implicitly.” Russells said in a statement that they “apologize unreservedly” to Rowling.
BIGGS AND WIFE EXPECTING
American Pie’s Jason Biggs is going to be a daddy. The actor, who appears in the new Netflix series Orange is the New Black, announced the news on Thursday’s Chelsea Lately. Biggs’ wife Jenny Mollen, who is friends with Chelsea, sent the talk show host a picture of her breasts, prompting Chelsea to say, “her breasts look really engorged.” Biggs responded by saying, “Her breasts are very big these days. Would you like to know why?,” then adding, “Cause I put a baby in her belly!” Mollen then took to Instagram to share the news, posting a picture of her sonogram with the caption, “My new assistant is so f***ing lazy.”
