FORMER IDOLS MAY JUDGE IDOL
Sounds like the folks at American Idol are getting desperate to come up with a way to freshen up the show. With rumors that this season’s entire judging panel will get the axe, Vulture claims producers are looking to the show’s past to save its future. According to sources, producers are considering filling one, or possibly all, of the vacated judges’ spots with former American Idol contestants. Word is, Jennifer Hudson and Kelly Clarkson have already been approached about the idea, and Adam Lambert and Clay Aiken are also being considered.
X FACTOR CONSIDERED ORIGINAL IDOL JUDGE REUNION
Next season’s The X Factor almost had a retro feel. According to the New York Post, at one point there was a discussion about Simon Cowell trying to lure original Idol judges Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson to X Factor. “The day after Randy quit Idol one The X Factor producer put forward the idea of bringing Randy, Paula and Simon back together,” claims a source. “But it wasn’t taken to the next level, as Simon had already agreed they liked the idea of more women on the panel and were set on Paulina (Rubio) and Kelly (Rowland) to join him and Demi (Lovato).”
KARDASHIAN’S OVER-THE-TOP SHOWER INVITE
Kim Kardashian is having a baby shower, and if the invitation is any indication, the party is bound to be extravagant. Invites to the June 2nd event, thrown by Kris Jenner, Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian, and Shelli Azoff (manager Irving Azoff’s wife), came in a fully functioning music box, with a spinning ballerina that looks a little like Kim. In addition, the box plays a lullaby version of baby daddy Kanye West’s tune “Hey Mama.” Us Weekly reports Beyoncé and Fergie are both invited to the shower, which is being described as a “ladies brunch.”
JOSE CANSECO ACCUSED OF RAPE
Former baseball star Jose Canseco is being investigated in Las Vegas in connection with a possible rape. TMZ reports that a woman filed a report accusing the 48-year-old of sexual assault, saying that the incident occurred on May 10th. Yesterday, Canseco took to Twitter to respond to the accusation, and went on a rant where he actually named his accuser. “Breaking news this is a first folks las vegas police was just at my house i have been charged with rape by [WOMAN'S NAME] from las vegas,” he wrote. “[The accuser] told police that I druged [sic] her and then raped her. hmmmmm. lets find out what really happened." He then posted a picture of a woman in a bikini, thought to be the alleged victim, as well as her phone number, before finally taking all the tweets down.
BIEBER FORCES GUESTS TO SIGN WAIVER
Justin Bieber is sick and tired of the bad press he’s getting, and he’s apparently figured out a way to end at least a few of the stories. According to TMZ, Justin is now making anyone who wants to party with him at his Calabasas, CA, home sign a waiver, which bans them from posting details, photos or recordings made inside the house on any type of social media. The guests will also be forbidden from talking about the Biebs and his guests. Should anyone break the contract, they will face a lawsuit seeking $5 million in damages. The document also warns guests they could be subject to activities deemed “potentially hazardous,” adding they “should not participate unless you are medically able and properly trained,” with risks including “minor injuries to catastrophic injuries including death.”
LINDSAY GOING BACK TO ADDERALL AFTER REHAB
It’s not shocking to hear, but Lindsay Lohan is not taking rehab seriously. Doctors at Betty Ford took away her Adderall last week, but sources tell Radaronline she’s already telling friends she plans to go right back on it when she leaves the facility. “She has been a bitch on wheels,” said the source about an Adderall-free Lindsay. “Lindsay is hell bent on getting a refill of her Adderall as soon she leaves Betty Ford.” Adds the source, “She has no chance of staying sober if she starts taking the Adderall again because it’s an amphetamine-based drug. For an addict like Lindsay, it’s a trigger for her to use other drugs.”
OSCAR WINNER HELPS DYING BOY MEET QUEEN
Helen Mirren helped make a 10-year-old boy’s dying wish come true…sort of. Oliver Burton, who has Down syndrome and was recently diagnosed with terminal cancer, only wanted to visit Buckingham Palace and have afternoon tea with the Queen. Unfortunately, Queen Elizabeth was a little too busy to grant Oliver’s dying wish, so he got the next best thing – Mirren dressed as the Queen. Last week, the Oscar winner brought Oliver and his family to the theater, where she is playing the Queen in Peter Morgan’s play The Audience, and posed for pictures with the boy.

A STAR TREK APOLOGY
Star Trek: Into Darkness writer Damon Lindelof has apologized for a scene in the flick in which actress Alice Eve strips down to her bra and panties. The Lost creator took to his Twitter account to apologize to those who were offended. “I copped to the fact that we should have done a better job of not being gratuitous in our representation of a barely clothed actress,” he wrote. “'We also had Kirk shirtless in underpants in both movies, [but I] do not want to make light of something that some construe as misogynistic.” He then added, “What I'm saying is I hear you, I take responsibility and will be more mindful in the future.”

JESSE JAMES CUTS OFF PINKIE
Sandra Bullock’s cheating ex is down one appendage…unfortunately not the one she probably would have wanted cut off. Jesse James revealed on Instagram Tuesday that he lost a portion of his pinkie in an accident at his shop. ‘OOOpps, Bad day at the office,” the former Monster Garage star posted, along with a picture of the bloody finger. “Headed 2 Surgery in a few #PayUpSucker.” But it sounds like doctors were unable to re-attach the pinkie. He later wrote, “Doesn't look like this little dude's gonna make it, Nice know'n you little buddy.”
HOW NOT TO WATCH ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT’S NEW SEASON
Arrested Development creator Mitch Hurwitz knows some fans plan to watch the new Netflix episodes all at once, but he doesn’t think it’s a smart idea. “You’ll get tired!” he told New York magazine. “You can’t take it all in at once. Don’t feel obligated to watch it all at once. It’s a comedy! It’s not like Lord of the Rings. Comedy takes a lot out of you.” New episodes of Arrested Development premiere May 26th on Netflix.
