RANDY JACKSON LEAVING IDOL…BUT WHO’S NEXT?
Randy Jackson announced yesterday that this will be his last season on American Idol. “Yo! Yo! Yo! To put all of the speculation to rest, after 12 years of judging on 'American Idol' I have decided it is time to leave after this season,” he said in a statement. "I am very proud of how we forever changed television and the music industry. It's been a life changing opportunity but I am looking forward to focusing on my company Dream Merchant 21 and other business ventures." But judging by the rumors, it sounds like Randy quit before producers could give him the axe. Sources claim Fox is so desperate to save American Idol, they are planning to get rid of all the judges, including Jackson, Mariah Carey, Nicki Minaj and Keith Urban. “They feel they’ve lost their core audience, and they want it back,” claims an insider. So far there’s no word on who’ll replace them, although rumors have circulated that producers are looking at Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, Pink and P. Diddy.
VAMPIRE DIARIES STARS SPLIT
Vampire Diaries co-stars Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder have ended their real-life romance. Sources tell Us Weekly the couple has called it quits after three years of dating. An insider tells the mag the pair are “consummate professionals” and “will continue to work together and remain best friends, which is where the relationship started.” Somerhalder may have offered a clue as to why they split on Twitter yesterday, tweeting a quote from playwright Lillian Hellman, “People change and forget to tell each other.”
MANTI TE’O’S FAKE GIRLFRIEND MAKES MAXIM’S HOT 100
Miley Cyrus shouldn’t be too proud about topping the Maxim annual Hot 100 list. That’s because the magazine lost whatever credibility they may have had by putting fake Manti Te’o girlfriend Lennay Kekua at number 69. That’s right, the imaginary woman made up by Ronaiah Tuiasosopo, landed in the Top 100. As for why she made the cut, the mag explained, “After Manti Te’o's fake girlfriend hoax of 2012, we think it might be nice to have an invisible girl of our own to love. Why not? She’s got a ton of great qualities, including looking awesome in a bikini.” Meanwhile, coming in at number two behind Miley is fellow former Disney star Selena Gomez, followed by Rihanna, Mila Kunis and Jennifer Lawrence.
Top Ten from Maxim’s Hot 100 List
1. Miley Cyrus
2. Selena Gomez
4. Mila Kunis
5. Jennifer Lawrence
6. Jennifer Love Hewitt
7. Ashley Tisdale
8. Kate Upton

NERVOUS BREAKDOWN LED TO ROBSON’S JACKSON ALLEGATIONS
Sources close to choreographer Wade Robson say that a nervous breakdown he suffered in March, 2012 was what led to his admission that Michael Jackson had sexually molested him as a child. Several insiders tell TMZ Robson went into complete seclusion after the breakdown, which left him unable to work, causing him to lose “a ton of money.” Robson eventually went to a psychotherapist, and it was during those visits that he opened up about the sexual abuse. He then told his family that Jackson had molested him from ages 7 to 14. Robson then told friends he planned to file a lawsuit against the singer’s estate, although insiders insist it’s not about the money. They say that even though Robson hasn’t made money in years, he has “substantial savings.”
REAL HOUSEWIVES OF NEW YORK CAST WANTS MORE MONEY
TMZ reports that the entire cast of The Real Housewives of New York has banded together to demand more money from Bravo. Sources say the cast - LuAnn de Lesseps, Carole Radziwill, Aviva Drescher, Ramona Singer, Sonja Morgan and Heather Thomson – were recently offered new contracts for season six, but they were all unhappy with the offers. The show is supposed to begin production Monday, so the group decided to go with an all-or-nothing approach and told the network they wouldn’t continue unless they got huge raises. Well, apparently that didn’t sit well with Bravo, who told them they have until today to sign the contract or they’ll all be fired. So far both sides seem to be in a standoff.
BYNES PLEADS NO CONTEST
Amanda Bynes yesterday pled no contest to driving on a suspended license. Bynes, who was not in court, was charged in September after she was pulled over in Burbank and cops discovered her license had been suspended because of two hit-and-run charges filed against her (they were later thrown out after Amanda reached a financial settlement with the victims). Bynes will be placed on three years probation, which means she’ll have to obey all laws. (Considering her recent behavior, that could prove difficult.) She must also pay a $300 fine.
DEMI’S LATEST MAN
Demi Moore has reportedly got a new, young boyfriend. Star magazine claims the 50-year-old Ghost star is dating Will Hanigan, 30, a commercial pearl diver from Australia. “She’s an amazing woman,” he told the tab. “We know each other through yoga, and we’ve become close.” Sources say the pair has been dating for about a month, and have been spending their time together getting massages and going to the sauna before yoga classes. “They get massages before going in - and they can be heard making wild noises inside,” said an insider. “Will is clearly a passionate individual and Demi seems to be enjoying every moment with him.”
MISS AMERICA THEME SONG CUT
This year’s Miss America Pageant is going to sound decidedly different. The Miss America Organization confirmed this week that due to a licensing dispute, the 2013 pageant will not be allowed to use the iconic Miss America theme song. The dispute started when the wife of the late songwriter Bernie Wayne filed a lawsuit claiming the song was used without a proper license in 2011 and 2012. The Miss America Pageant airs Sunday, September 15th on ABC.
ROBERTS TO SKIP SISTER’S WEDDING
Julia Roberts is reportedly planning to skip her sister’s wedding. According to the National Enquirer, the Pretty Woman star wants no part of half-sister Nancy Motes’ celebration because she doesn’t approve of Nancy’s fiancé John Dilbeck, a former fast food restaurant employee. “Julia doesn’t think much of Nancy’s husband-to-be,” said a source. “She’s convinced he’s sponging off Nancy, who doesn’t have much money in the first place.” Julia recently helped Nancy, the daughter of Julia’s mother Betty Lou and stepfather Michael Motes, get a job as a production assistant on Glee, at which point Dilbeck immediately quit his job. Another reason Julia doesn’t want to go to the wedding - she’s convinced she’ll wind up being the one to pick up the tab.
KIM ZOLCIAK’S HUBBY ACCUSED OF CHEATING
Kim Zolciak’s husband Kroy Biermann may not have been so faithful to her at the beginning of their relationship. A woman named Elizabeth Seward tells In Touch she was with Kroy when he started dating the Real Housewives star. She says they met at a party in Indianapolis in January 2010 and dated for several months. But turns out, he was also secretly dating Kim at the time. In fact, Elizabeth said she had just returned from visiting Kroy when she found out he and Kim took their relationship public at Housewives star Cynthia Bailey’s wedding. “Obviously our relationships overlapped,” said Elizabeth. But a source close to Kroy told the magazine he wasn’t really cheating on either woman. “Kroy was never serious about Elizabeth – he was young and single and playing the field,” said the source. “It wasn’t betrayal. It was just the normal thing that happens when someone is dating and finally falls for someone. The other people get left behind, and sometimes they get hurt.”
BETHENNY CALLS MARRIAGE A MISTAKE
Bethenny Frankel admits in the latest issue of People magazine that she made a mistake marrying Jason Hoppy. The 41-year-old said she was “miserable” in the marriage, but adds, “Because of (daughter) Bryn, I can never say, ‘I wish this had never happened.’ I have a beautiful child who I love so much, who is part of both of us.” But regardless, Bethenny does say she regrets ever tying the knot. As for why she finally decided to file for divorce, Bethenny explained, “Someone said to me ‘you’re lucky if you get 90 years on this planet. Why would you spend so many of them being miserable?’ That was a defining moment.”
GWYNETH DONE WITH MET BALL
It’s no doubt the annual Met Ball is the place to be seen, but one star who won’t be seen there anymore is Gwyneth Paltrow. The actress walked the red carpet in a Valentino gown Monday, but didn’t enjoy herself at the event. “It was so un-fun. It was boiling,” she told USA Today. “I did not enjoy it at all.” She then added, “I’m never going again.”
