LAMAR COMES TO THE KARDASHIANS’ DEFENSE Lamar Odom is defending the Kardashian family after his biological father Joe Odom gave an interview to Radaronline in which he blamed the reality show clan for the NBA star’s troubles, and called matriarch Kris Jenner an “evil b**ch.” "I have let this man and many others get away with a lot of s***. He wasn't there 2 raise me. He was absent ALL of my life due to his own demons,” wrote Lamar. “That man wasn't even invited to my wedding. He has never met my mother in law and some of my other family. How can a man who has NOT once called me to check on my well-being have the nerve to talk so recklessly about his own 'son.' He is my downfall! His own demons may be the ONLY thing he gave 2 me. He (is) disrespecting the ONLY FAMILY that has loved me without expecting anything in return." As for the Kardashians, Lamar added, “They are the ONLY ones that have been here consistently 4 me during this dark time. Only person 2 blame is myself. Say what you want about me but leave the ones who have done nothing but protect and love me out of this! This goes to out to everyone!" Meanwhile Joe continues to speak out, and yesterday he told TMZ he doesn’t believe the reports that his son has a crack problem. Joe also explained why he decided to speak out against the Kardashians, but now claims they are a “wonderful family.” GERE AND LOWELL DIVORCING After 11 years of marriage, Richard Gere and wife Carey Lowell are calling it quits, according to The New York Post. "I have a girlfriend but I tend not to really like to talk about it in public," the 32-year-old explained. "She is not in show business." The Dark Knight Rises star, whose directorial debut Don Jon opens Friday, says he and his gal met through “mutual friends,” but wouldn’t elaborate on how long they’ve been together. As for why he keeps his romance secret, he explained, “I get up in movies and I play other people, so when the audience is watching me in movies, I don't want them thinking about me and who I'm dating…I want them to see the character, the story that I'm telling." Besides, his girlfriend doesn’t really want to be outed. “The girl that I'm with, she really doesn't want to be a part of it," the actor said. "You can imagine not wanting to have that kind of scrutiny."
