ABC has renewed several of its shows for next season: Modern Family, Castle, Grey's Anatomy, Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Once Upon A Time, Resurrection, Revenge, Scandal and The Goldbergs. In addition, ABC has ordered the series Marvel's Agent Carter, an off-shoot of the Captain America movies focusing on Haley Atwell's character.
The CW has cancelled its Sex and the City prequel, The Carrie Diaries, after two seasons, and has also given the ax to the first-year series The Tomorrow People and Star-Crossed, according to The Hollywood Reporter. It has also dropped plans for a Supernatural spinoff, titled Bloodlines. The CW just renewed Hart of Dixie, Beauty and the Beast, and The 100, while ordering a handful of new series, including the Arrow spinoff The Flash.
NBC has ordered a new show based on the DC Comics series Hellblazer for the 2014-2015 season. Constantine will focus on the titular character, a demon hunter, played by Matt Ryan. The network is also attached to a detective series, The Mysteries of Laura, starring Debra Messing and Josh Lucas, and a comedy titled A to Z, featuring How I Met Your Mother's Cristin Milioti and Mad Men actor Ben Feldman.
