It seems like getting mosquito bites is just a part of summer. But you want less of them, not more, right?!? To keep mosquitoes at bay, there are several things you can do.
First, eliminate their breeding grounds. Remove any standing water from your property -- in trash cans, buckets, wheel barrows, etc.
Second, when you spend time outside avoid bright or dark colors.
Third, wear mosquito repellant.
Fourth, avoid drinking alcohol when you're going to be outside. A study by the National Institutes of Health found that when people drink alcohol, it stimulates mosquitoes to bite them more.
If you have Type O blood, mosquitoes already seek you out more than other blood types. So, be careful out there!
