Football is America's pastime. Most football fans in our area "bleed black and gold." I'm not the biggest follower of all-things-sports, but I wonder... When there are high profile crimes involving sports figures like Aaron Hernandez, is the NFL (and individual teams) doing enough to enough to keep the BUSINESS of professional football a RESPECTABLE one? The NFL is conducting its own investigation into Hernandez while that player is accused of murder and could be linked to two other homicides. The league already has a personal conduct policy. Would a morals clause added to contracts make players think twice about engaging in questionable activities? For some, maybe. For others, probably not.
Chester Elton has an interesting take on how the NFL can help improve itself. Read his article HERE.
