A recent survey finds that British women spend more than 34,000 pounds on footwear in their lifetime. That's the equivalent to nearly $54,000! The survey shows those women buy an average of 13 pairs of shoes each year, spending about $900 annually. I guess they have really big shoe closets!
But, seriously, who REALLY spends that kind of money on shoes? I'm not saying you shouldn't buy 13 pair of shoes in a particular year for whatever reason. But 13 pair EVERY year?!? I think it's a bit much. About a month ago, one of my cousins made fun of me because I have 20 pair of shoes, from formal heels to sneakers to snow boots. He thought it was too much. But, apparently, I am not caught up in my shoe shopping by British standards!
