If you've got food leftovers in the fridge from Christmas or that New Year's Eve party, it's time to pitch them!
But, if you've still got WINE from the holidays, you should keep it and cook with it!
I like to throw some white wine into the baking pan when I'm roasting chicken. If you have champagne that's gone flat, don't dump it down the drain! Cook with it! A splash adds moisture and helps prevent drying delicate fish. Red wine is great in beef dishes... even add some to chili.
Of course, if there's enough wine for two glasses, pour one for you and one for a friend... and toast the end of Monday!
