State Police IN JEFFERSON COUNTY say the body PARTS found in A CREEK NEAR PUNXSUTAWNEY SUNDAY NIGHT BELONG TO 33-year-old Chet Haddow OF PUNXSY. his friend Michael Shugars IS NOW ACCUSED OF SHOOTing HADDOW OVER A DRUG DISPUTE, cutTING up THE body WITH A CHAINSAW, and putTING it in Mahoning Creek. Shugars is JailED WITH A PRELIMINARY HEARING SET FOR OCTOBER 1ST. HADDOW’S CAR WAS FOUND AT ANOTHER LOCATION AND IT HAD BEEN SET ON FIRE.
SHOT WITH BB GUN
A MAN IS IN STABLE CONDITION AT UPMC ALTOONA AFTER BEING SHOT IN THE LOWER BACK WITH A BB GUN LAST NIGHT. ALTOONA POLICE TELL THE ALTOONA MIRROR THE VICTIM CLAIMS HE WAS WALKING NEAR PROSPECT POOL ABOUT 9PM WHEN SOMEONE IN DARK CLOTHING CAME UP BEHIND HIM AND FIRED THE GUN. THE SUSPECT FLED AND A FRIEND HELPED THE VICTIM GET TO THE HOSPITAL.

Gelman also THINKS the trial judge mishandled jury instructions and a prosecutor made improper references to Sandusky not taking the stand in his own defense. NO WORD WHEN THE JUDGES WILL RULE. MEANWHILE, SANDUSKY CONTINUES HIS 30 TO 60 YEAR PRISON SENTENCE.

Moore was released after his arrest last week due to health problems AND He's being supervised by family members.
a preliminary hearing is scheduled today for 53 YEAR OLD MICHAEL GRIMM of johnstown WHO IS accused of raping a young boy over a 4 year period STARTING IN 2005 WHEN THE BOY WAS 6 YEARS OLD. The ALLEGED victim IS NOW A TEENAGER AND CLAIMS GRIMM BOUGHT HIM A PLAYSTATION AND A DIRT BIKE TO KEEP HIS MOUTH SHUT. HE ALSO SAYS GRIMM would HIT HIS KNEE with a hammer OR HOLD a gun to his face if Grimm thought he was telling.

Police say 29 YEAR OLD Shawn Beck OF EAST FREEDOM ROBBed THE SOUTH LLOYD STREET Dollar General STORE last week, DISPLAYING A GUN…then HOLDING UP THE EAST PLEASANT BOULEVARD Family Dollar STORE the following MORNING. IN BETWEEN, HE TRIED TO ROB Citizens Bank ON BROAD AVENUE, BUT didn’t get any cash. A SHORT TIME LATER, STATE POLICE arrested BECK and 22 YEAR OLD TYLER LATTIERI OF ALTOONA who was driving the stolen getaway car. Beck Is also ACCUSED OF writing a 38-thousand dollar forged check to buy a car.
IN CENTRE COUNTY COURT YESTERDAY, A JURY FOUND 27 YEAR OLD JASON MCGONIGAL OF WOODLAND GUILTY OF SEVERAL CHARGES IN CONNECTION WITH A CONVENIENCE STORE ROBBERY BACK IN DECEMBER. AUTHORITIES SAY MCGONIGAL CONVINCED HIS FRIEND, MONROE BELL OF GRASSFLAT, TO PULL A KNIFE ON THE CASHIER AT THE PUFF CIGARETTE OUTLET IN PHILIPSBURG. THEY GOT AWAY WITH 2 CARTONS OF CIGARETTES AND ABOUT 800 DOLLARS THAT THEY USED TO BUY HEROIN. MCGONIGAL WILL BE SENTENCED OCTOBER 17TH. Bell is scheduled for a pretrial conference TOMORROW.

LONGTIME REPRESENTATIVE DICK HESS, CHAIRMAN OF THE HOUSE TRANSPORTATION COMMITTEE, DIED EARLIER THIS MONTH. THE DISTRICT COVERS ALL OF FULTON COUNTY AND PARTS OF BEDFORD AND HUNTINGDON COUNTIES. LOCAL PARTY OFFICIALS WILL CHOOSE CANDIDATES SOON. THE WINNER WILL ONLY BE IN OFFICE FOR LESS THAN A YEAR BEFORE THE NOVEMBER 2014 ELECTION.
